Step 1: Drape
Start with a clean and cleared off fireplace mantle. Drape any garland or leftover pine branches from your christmas tree across the mantle top. ( Tip: It helps if you have hot coco or a stiff eggnog during this process. )
Step 2: Light
Weave a set of christmas lights through the garland to light up the mantle--and give it a little holiday glow!
Step 3: Sparkle
Have a few extra bulbs from your tree? Perfect! Place sparsely throughout the garland and mantle top to add a little pop of color and some sparkle. If you want to go the extra step you can hang a wreath above the mantle for a finishing touch that is sure to dazzle!
