Miramar Beach

Offers fine sugar-white sand and a broad range of home styles, from luxury beach estates to traditional Florida beach cottage-style bungalows.

Welcome to Miramar Beach

The word "Miramar" is of Spanish and/or Portuguese origin said to mean "view the sea," and the fine sugar-white sand of Miramar Beach provides a perfect venue from which to do just that. Miramar Beach has a broad range of home styles, from modern, multi-million-dollar luxury beach estates to more traditional Florida beach cottage-style bungalows, to the Caribbean-style homes in the Gulf-front gated neighborhood of Caribe, and the community is also known for its beachside condominiums.

Marimar Beach Real Estate for Sale

As mentioned above, Miramar Beach has a wide range of home styles in its real estate, that includes multi-million-dollar luxury beach estates, more traditional Florida beach cottage-style bungalows, Caribbean-style homes and luxury condos. And then there's the neighborhood of Pine Gulf, with home styles ranging from ranch to southern plantation, and from Mediterranean to Caribbean villa.

Miramar Beach Location

Miramar Beach is located 9 miles east of Destin, eight miles east of the private Destin Airport, 39 miles northwest of Panama City Beach, and 45 miles northwest of the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport. This is the first international airport built in the U.S. since 2011.

Some visitors say that Miramar Beach conveys the sense of being in a traditional beach town of the last century, and perhaps this is due in part to its relatively isolated location east of Destin, and separated by the expanse of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park from the string of 30A beach communities to the east.

Miramar Beach Homes & Amenities

Not that this relative isolation is limiting, as recreational and dinning opportunities abound in and around Miramar Beach. Along with standard beach-side recreation such as swimming, fishing, parasailing, jet-skiing and stand-up paddle boarding, Miramar Beach offers venues for golf and tennis with the centrally located Seascape Resort, and the nearby Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Within the Sandestin resort is The Village of Baytowne Wharf, which offers a variety of entertainment–from family movies to fireworks, to live music to magic shows–as well as numerous planned activities for children. Miramar Beach is home to more than 30 restaurants serving a variety of cuisines, such as gourmet French, Italian, sushi, Mexican and much more.

Miramar Beach is also known for its shopping, especially given that it is home to Silver Sands Premium Outlets, one of the country's largest designer outlet centers. And there are plenty of other shopping opportunities, both within Miramar Beach, and just a short drive away at the Market Shops at Sandestin.

Seaside Real Estate & Amenities

As part of an inaugural New Urban community, Seaside is designed with traditional principles in mind. This includes not only an active city center with a prominent cultural and civic presence but also a town with bike paths and walking trails, which provides access to all points of interest within Seaside easily accessible. Yet this beach town was developed with the look and feel of an older village, as if it has been around for decades. It was not intended to resemble a modern tract home development, yet the included amenities are top of the line.

When not at the beach or enjoying one of the many outdoor sports activities, residents can visit the twice-weekly Farmer’s Markets, summer concert series, Stories by the Sea, as well as outdoor movies, holiday parades and a host of other activities.

Visitors and homeowners alike have easy access to their favorite beaches through the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport. It is only 30 miles to Seaside. The airport designation is ECP, and is the first international airport built in the U.S. since 2011.
