Welcome to WaterSound Origins

Not to be confused with Watersound Beach or Watersound West Beach, but all developed by the St. Joe Company, Watersound Origins is a 1,400 acre community located just three miles north from Scenic Highway 30A and South Walton beaches. With 14 unique home styles ranging in size from 1,750 to over 2,500 square feet, this community offers affordable housing with top amenities, including the Origins Golf Club.
 

WaterSound Origins- A South Walton Golf Community

Located on the grounds of Watersound Origins is the Davis Love, III-designed golf course offering two experiences: nine hole executive course or a 10 hole, par 3.   While golf is a primary attraction for WaterSound Origins residents, this coastal planned community offers a tranquil and peaceful lifestyle and is becoming a popular choice amongst successful locals as their primary residence.  Natural vegetation including large trees provide a private setting.  To the east of Watersound Origins is Lake Powell, a large coastal dune lake where kayaking, and paddle boarding are popular. Several parks, walking and biking paths intersect with each neighborhood for easy accessibility all while providing a safe environment.
 
 The Village Commons includes a resort style pool, fitness center, children’s playground a large green space for special events as well as a café open for breakfast and lunch.
 
One newer feature is the WaterSound Trail, a 5 mile crushed gravel road that provides easy, level hiking and covers the northern portion of WaterSound Origins. Eventually, the path will connect to Panama City Beaches Gayle’s Trails.
 

South Walton Shopping and Dining

For shopping and dining, residents must travel to nearby WaterColorRosemary Beach or one of the other local beach communities in South Walton.
 
Visitors and homeowners alike have easy access to their favorite beaches through The Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport. It is only 23 miles to Watersound Origins.  The airport designation is ECP, and is the first international airport built in the U.S. since 2011.
