Seagrove Beach

Where oak-lined streets meet sugar-white sand and a rare coastal dune lake.

Welcome to Seagrove Beach

Seagrove Beach is one of the earliest Gulf-front beach settlements to arise on the Scenic Highway 30A corridor, serving as a family-friendly beach vacation spot since the 1940s. Located just east of Watercolor and Seaside, Seagrove is conducive to easy beach living. Great walkability to retail and restaurants gives you that old-time feel. This would be a great location where you may find your quintessential beach home.

Seagrove Beach - A Gulf Front Community

Outside of a few cottages and the little Seagrove Hotel, there wasn’t much development at the time the Seagrove Village was built. The only way to drive to Seagrove was on a sandy trail from the paved U.S. Highway 98. The current road, 30-A, was just a simple dirt road a few hundred feet in both directions. Until they paved 30-A, there was no connecting road from Seagrove to Grayton Beach, because the two towns were separated by Western Lake. The only way to get from either town to the other was by boat.

With its old Florida beach town charm, central location, modern amenities, and a wide variety of real estate offerings, Seagrove Beach is a must-see for those seeking a Scenic 30A Gulf-front home. Let’s be your trusted Seagrove Beach real estate agent to find your ideal Gulf-front home.

Seagrove Beach homes represent an interesting array of architectural styles, with original concrete-block traditional Florida beach cottages still standing amidst more recent homes that feature modern interpretations of that style, as well as gated neighborhoods featuring homes with a Greek-revival theme, and others displaying a flair for the classic beach cottages. As time has evolved more architecturally sophisticated homes have been built.

Seagrove Beach Homes & Amenities

While Seagrove Beach is centrally located within all of Scenic 30A’s dining, shopping and recreational opportunities, the community itself offers a diverse assortment of dining options within walking distance. The Seashore Village Market Cafe has been serving customers since 1949, and has been featured in numerous magazines, with the cafe’s grouper sandwich being named “100 Things You Must Eat Before You Die” by Garden & Gun magazine. Right next door is V Seagrove, a landmark restaurant reminiscent of South Beach Miami, that some consider to be the Seagrove Beach “town center.” Other nearby restaurants of note include Cafe Thirty-A and 723 Whisky Bravo.

Seagrove Beach is also home to Eastern Lake, one of the 15 rare coastal dune lakes found along the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. The community is also located near the 1,920-acre Deer Lake State Park, home to another rare coastal dune lake, as well as isolated beaches, sand dunes, coastal forest trees and hiking trails. The park is popular with hikers, fishermen, birdwatchers and beachcombers.

Additionally, Seagrove Beach is home to two of the three high-rise condo towers on Scenic 30A that were constructed prior to the initiation of the region’s four-story height restriction.

Seagrove Beach Location & Real Estate for Sale

Named for the thick groves of oak trees that grow along this area of the Gulf shore, Seagrove Beach is located approximately 17 miles east of Destin and 16 miles northwest of Panama City Beach, placing it almost center stage of the beach community scene of Scenic 30A.

Visitors and homeowners alike have easy access to their favorite beaches through the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport. Only 32 miles northeast of Seagrove Beach, the airport designation is ECP, and is the first international airport built in the U.S. since 2011. This makes it easy for you to come and go from the area, though most people who come here never want to leave! In addition to vacation rentals, condos, and other properties, there are several Seagrove Beach homes for sale for those who decide they may want to stay just a bit longer.
